Best Upgrade Options for Playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on a Tight Budget

I'm trying to breathe some new life into my old OMEN by HP Desktop PC 880-pOxx. Currently, it has a GPU of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB and an Intel i5-7400 processor running at 3.00GHz, along with 8GB of RAM. My main goal is to play Red Dead Redemption 2 at a stable 60fps without breaking the bank—I'm looking at a budget of £200 max. Any recommendations on what I should upgrade?

First off, what's the power supply wattage in your Omen? If it's 500W, you could consider upgrading to something like a 2070 Super and add another 8GB of RAM. Just make sure your PSU can handle it!

Yeah, a 2070 Super would be a solid option, but check if you're under the wattage limits!

Running RDR2 smoothly might be tricky with your current setup. I'd suggest checking your RAM configuration first. If you can, upgrade to a total of 16GB RAM. This definitely helps. After that, think about getting a new GPU, maybe a 2070 Super or RX 6700, but make sure you can fit that into your budget. 200 pounds is quite tight for all that, so keep an eye out for deals!

Before you buy anything, make sure your RAM is in dual channel mode and see if you have any extra slots. Upgrading RAM can boost performance quite a bit for games like RDR2. Good luck!
