Hey everyone! I've been slowly upgrading my PC over the years and I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 3600 along with a 16 GB 9060XT. I feel like the CPU is bottlenecking my setup. I'm looking to upgrade to a better processor in the AM4 range that can last me another few years until I switch to AM5, ideally when RAM prices drop. I found a 5700x3d priced between $250-280 USD, and a 5700x for around $180 USD. Should I go for one of these, or is there another processor I should consider? Or should I just stick with the 3600? I don't need to play at ultra settings, just want to enjoy MMOs and decent games, and sometimes watch YouTube on another monitor. Thanks for your help!

Yeah, the Ryzen 5 3600 is definitely holding you back. If you can swing it, I'd recommend the 5800x3d; it's the best option for your AM4 socket and should last you a good while. But honestly, the 5700x does the job for most cases too, so it's a solid choice as well.

Totally agree! The 57/800x3d will extend your PC's lifespan by at least five years.
