Hey everyone! I need some advice on how to transfer a large collection of photos and videos (over 100GB) from my iPhone 11 to my HP Spectre x360 running Windows. It's crucial for me that the 'Date Taken' metadata remains intact so I can keep everything in chronological order. Unfortunately, my phone storage is almost full, and I can't use a wired connection right now since I'm dealing with a hardware issue. I've previously tried using OneDrive, but it messed up the original timestamps during the transfer, which jumbled my files. Does anyone have a reliable method or software solution for a wireless transfer that preserves metadata? Also, once I have everything backed up on my PC, I'd like to easily identify and remove any duplicates with incorrect metadata. Thanks in advance for your help!

Another option is to set your Windows laptop to be discoverable on your home WiFi and use an app that allows SFTP on your iPhone. How comfortable are you with tech? This method could be more hands-on, but I'm happy to help you through it if you're willing to learn!
I'd love to see those guides too. Especially if they're not overly complicated.
I recommend using LocalSend for this! It's free and does a great job of retaining all your metadata during transfers. Just make sure both your devices are on the same wireless network, and you should be good to go!
I second this! It worked perfectly for me under similar circumstances.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll give it a try!

I have a decent grasp on GUIs but less so on backend stuff. I'm open to learning! Any tips or resources you recommend?
