Building a PC but Getting No Signal – What Am I Missing?

I recently built a computer for my son using an ASRock B450-HDV motherboard paired with a Ryzen 5 2600X. Unfortunately, I'm not getting any signal on the display. I've tried multiple GPUs, different power supplies, and various RAM sticks, but all I get are fans spinning and lights turning on – no output. I've built five PCs before and only had issues when the CPU and motherboard weren't compatible. Am I missing something? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check that the CPU is seated correctly in the socket. Sometimes, it can overheat if it's not properly installed, which might cause issues.

I recommend getting a replacement motherboard just in case yours is defective. It might be worth ruling that out!

Make sure you have a dedicated GPU installed! The Ryzen 5 2600X doesn't come with an integrated GPU, so you'll need a separate graphics card since the motherboard's video ports won't work without one.
