I'm considering getting a 12GB VRAM graphics card like the B580 or 6750 XT for gaming at 1440P and looking to enjoy AAA titles that are visually immersive, like Cyberpunk, Genshin Impact, and Final Fantasy at around 60 fps. I'm okay with medium settings and potential upscaling if it's done well. However, I've heard mixed opinions about whether a 12GB card will be sufficient in 2025. Given the price range of around $300, I'm realistic about not being able to max out every game and I'm aware of some poorly optimized releases out there. What are your thoughts?

Yeah, it's not like you'll be pushing heavy ray tracing on those cards. Plus, using upscaling features can save some VRAM too!
I've been gaming at 1440p on my 2080 Super with only 8GB VRAM, and while I can't max out settings like before, it still gets the job done for me!
I use a 6700XT, and it's been great at 1440p, even maxing Genshin Impact without any hiccups. For more demanding titles like Horizon, I've managed around 110-150 FPS with some settings adjusted and upscaling. 12GB of VRAM usually holds up well, but without frame generation, you might need to dial back some settings to hit 60 FPS consistently.
So, it sounds like VRAM isn’t the bottleneck in many cases. Good to know!
