Can I Access My Phone with a Broken Screen?

My phone's screen just broke because the battery got bloated and pushed the screen out, which caused the display cable to rip. Is there any way for me to access my phone through my laptop? Ideally, I'd love to use the laptop as a screen, but I really just want to access its storage so I can save my photos.

I managed to access my phone by plugging it into a docking station that had the display, mouse, and keyboard. That way, I could manage it all from there. Give it a shot!

First off, be careful with that bloated battery; it can be a fire hazard! Depending on your phone model, you might be able to use HDMI from the USB port. For Android, there's an option called scrcpy that allows you to mirror your phone's screen on a PC. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to have it set up beforehand or authorize the connection through the screen, which can be tricky if it's broken.

If you're using an Android device, you might want to try scrcpy again. You can connect it as an OTG keyboard or mouse to help unlock the screen. After that, if ADB is enabled, you could control the phone with scrcpy over ADB. There are some great guides available too!

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely give that a try.
