I'm thinking about building a PC for around $800. I'm not entirely sure if that's feasible with current prices. I've been putting off making a move, but I have some projects and gaming needs that are pushing me to finally commit. I'd like to include a monitor in that budget if possible, but if not, I'm okay with just the PC for now.

Honestly, I’d recommend looking into used parts. You might score a great deal on components and save some cash for a monitor.

At your budget, it's going to be tough to build new. You might get better value by finding a pre-built PC and then upgrading it over time. And yes, check platforms like Facebook Marketplace for good deals on used setups.

Before diving in, what kind of performance are you looking for? You mentioned gaming and projects, but details like the resolution really matter. With the current cost of RAM, an $800 budget for both a PC and a monitor could be challenging at best.
