Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a gaming PC with a budget between $1000 and $1200. I'm okay with using DLSS and don't mind not having everything at native resolution—upscaled 4K is fine as long as I can achieve performance similar to a base PS5 with over 60 FPS. I'd like to use new parts, not used ones, so I'd appreciate any recommendations for specific components!

Are you flexible with using FSR, or are you set on NVIDIA only? That might widen your options a bit depending on what you prefer.
Finding new parts in that price range is tricky, especially with current prices. But if you’re open to a prebuilt setup, that could help you stay within your budget. Aim for a mix of AMD components to match or slightly exceed PS5’s performance for gaming at 4K.
I agree! I’m definitely considering a prebuilt build. Anything that meets or slightly exceeds PS5 specs would be perfect.
You might want to consider going with a prebuilt system for about $1240. It could save you money on parts if you compare it tobuilding your own, given the current market prices. Check out this option I found—it comes with a decent setup and might outperform a PS5. If you want something right away, this could be it!
Thanks for the suggestion! Prebuilt works for me. Is $1240 a good deal right now? Does this outperform the PS5 by a reasonable margin?

I last built a PC back in 2016, and I've mainly been using my PS5 and Xbox. If FSR is as good as DLSS now, then I'm okay with that. I’m up for any CPU/GPU mix from Intel or AMD!
