Hey everyone! So, my girlfriend recently got her hands on a Razer Basilisk V3 X Hyperspeed and she's been loving it, especially using it with the dongle. However, she accidentally broke the dongle and now it's in pieces! She's not a fan of Bluetooth since she feels the dongle adds to her hardcore gamer vibe (lol). I heard that it's possible to buy a separate dongle and connect them, but our budget is tight right now. Is there some way to get a cheap dongle online that would work with the mouse, or maybe a workaround? Any help would be appreciated!

So, here's the deal: while Razer mice like yours usually have Bluetooth and wireless options, a dongle from another mouse won't work. Each wireless mouse is specifically paired with its own dongle. Luckily, your girlfriend's mouse supports Bluetooth, so you can use that until you can afford a new dongle. It's not as ideal as the wireless connection, but it still works! I use my Basilisk on Bluetooth and honestly, I don’t notice much of a difference when I'm just browsing or even gaming casually.
Unfortunately, you can’t just buy a random wireless dongle and expect it to work with the Razer mouse. Each mouse integrates its own unique wireless technology into the dongle, which means they’re not interchangeable. Your best bet could be to fix the broken dongle if you have some electronics skills, but I understand that might not be an option. Just remember, while Bluetooth is a viable fallback, it does come with some limitations in terms of input latency and features, so it's better than nothing but not ideal for serious gaming. Hang in there!
Yeah, I get that! We'll definitely use Bluetooth for now. Just curious if I can find a cheaper dongle option online, or if I should just save up for the official one.
