I'm trying to add a network adapter to my spouse's PC, but it seems their GPU is blocking the PCIe slot I need. Would using an extension cord work for this, or do I need to replace the motherboard? The motherboard is a PRIME H310M-E R2.0.

Yikes, that's a tight fit! Are both PCIe slots fully covered by the GPU? If your onboard LAN is dead, you might consider using a USB adapter instead. It's often simpler and avoids any hassle with the internals.

Here's a picture of the setup I'm working with [link](https://imgur.com/a/5tEE4a4). I'm not the best at building PCs, so I'm a bit lost!
