How to Transition My Home Server from Linux to Windows and Move a Large Array?

I have an HP server at home primarily used for media storage with Plex and running qbittorrent along with various media retrieval tools. I'm looking to transition this setup to Windows and I need help figuring out how to move my large storage array. Currently, it's configured using HP's utility, and this server is mostly a "set it and forget it" type of deal. I also want to set up something like Immich for remote photo storage for my family. Can anyone offer guidance on how to do this transition smoothly?

If Linux can't read the array, your best bet is to copy the files over to other drives with Windows, then turn off the array. After that, install Linux and create a new array with a Linux-friendly method like ZFS or Btrfs. Then you can transfer your files back.

Thanks! I figured that Linux might not read the array. Is that a safe assumption?

Windows typically doesn't support file systems like ext4 or btrfs, so you might need to start from scratch unless you use another server to access your files through Samba. Plus, if you've already got the arr setup on Linux, why switch to Windows instead of just running Immich on Docker? It could save you a lot of hassle!

I really struggle with Docker setup and don't have much time to mess around with the server. Most of my access is remote, and my current server won't upgrade to Windows 11, so if I'm going to switch, it feels like now or never.
