I'm trying to connect two A4Tech Bloody MN240F monitors (1920x1080, 144Hz) to my HP 15-dw1066ur laptop, which only has a single HDMI 1.4b port. Is it feasible to use an HDMI splitter to get both monitors hooked up, and will the bandwidth be sufficient for both to run at 144Hz? Any suggestions for making this work?

You can't send two independent signals through one HDMI port; splitters will just duplicate the image on both screens. If you want different displays, try a USB video dongle like DisplayLink. Just know that performance might be a bit laggy since it compresses video over USB, plus it could put extra strain on your laptop's CPU.
Unfortunately, HDMI splitters typically can't create two separate display streams. If you're looking for a way to connect both monitors, consider getting a USB-C to HDMI adapter for a second output. However, for a smoother experience with multiple high-refresh monitors, you might want to think about upgrading your laptop to one that can handle it more effectively.
Forget about using a splitter. It just mirrors the output, so both monitors will show the same thing. Instead, go for something like a USB to HDMI adapter or a docking station to add more unique outputs. Just be aware that HDMI 1.4b supports only up to 120Hz at 1080p, so you might be limited to that refresh rate.
