Hey everyone, I'm a student looking for some help. I found the textbooks I need in EPUB format, but I can only access them for 30 days. After that, I have to purchase them. Is there a way to convert these EPUB files to PDF so that I can keep them for the semester? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Before diving into conversion, it’s crucial to check if you can download the EPUBs. If they’re downloaded securely, you can use Calibre with some plugins to bypass file protections and convert them. You’d have to figure out what kind of encryption is on your files; look for the file extension and Google how to remove that specific encryption. It can be a bit tricky, so familiarize yourself with Calibre first!
Have you tried PDF24? It's a free tool that converts EPUB to PDF. They have an online option as well as a downloadable app. Just keep in mind that it might not be easy to find for Mac users, so double-check the availability first!
I'm on a Mac too and I couldn't find a version that works for me. Looks like it's mainly for Windows.
If all else fails, how about doing a screen recording of your textbooks? Set your reader to flip through pages while you record. It might not be searchable, but you’ll have the content available to replay when you need it. Just make sure you're downloading on a device where you can later access the files you need!
That’s a good idea! I might have to resort to that if converting doesn’t work out. Thanks for the tip!

I can download the files, but Calibre refuses to convert them because they're locked. They just end with .epub, and I can only open them in Thorium Reader.
