Hey everyone! So, I'm not very tech-savvy—I mostly use my PS4 and Xbox for gaming—but I recently got my hands on a Mini MP3 player after being inspired by some vintage headphones I ordered. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic for the past, especially the 80s, and I'm wondering if it's possible to download songs or audiobooks directly onto the MP3 player itself, or if I absolutely need to connect it to a computer to do so. Any help would be really appreciated!

You might have some luck using your phone with a USB adapter. Many basic MP3 players function like USB drives, so you could try downloading files directly through your phone. I haven’t personally tested it, but it’s worth a shot!
Technically, MP3 players emerged in the late '90s, not the '80s. Unfortunately, you will need a computer to transfer files to your player. Sorry about that!

I thought about that too, but I wonder what kind of phone you’d need. It’d have to be able to transfer files, but not necessarily act as an MP3 player itself.
