I'm looking to install Linux on my PC that has 4GB of RAM but I don't want to remove Windows. Is this feasible? I've tried using the nomodeset command but it keeps crashing whether I use the GUI or not. I also want to set up the partitions manually so it doesn't interfere with my C drive. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Yes, it's definitely possible to run Linux on a PC with 4GB of RAM. The nomodeset command you're using is more of a troubleshooting tool for graphics issues; it may not be the best setting for a smooth experience. I’ve run Ubuntu with a full graphical interface on a similar setup without major issues. It might not be lightning fast, but it can work. Just let us know your PC's specifications, especially the CPU and whether you’re using integrated graphics or a dedicated GPU; that’ll help us guide you better!
Absolutely! I recommend choosing a lightweight distribution optimized for performance, like Antix or Q4OS. These options are designed to work better with limited resources, so you should have a smoother experience while dual booting.
Here's what I found regarding my specs: I've got an Intel Core i5-8250U CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce MX110 GPU, along with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. It's an ASUSTeK VivoBook 15.
