I'm looking for recommendations on a solid IT asset management tool that can replace spreadsheets. I need something straightforward to set up and manage, as my company isn't large enough for big enterprise solutions. It's important for me to track who has what and when items were last used. Ideally, I'd prefer a SaaS option, but I'm open to any suggestions that aren't too complicated to set up. Just a heads up, I've already ruled out SnipeIT because it doesn't seem to be a plug-and-play option. While budget isn't a major concern, I really need a solution that performs well with minimal manual oversight. Also, just to mention, this is my first HR role in a larger company, so I'm still getting the hang of things. Thanks!

You might want to check out Lansweeper or PDQ. Both are solid choices for different needs. Lansweeper is good for obtaining comprehensive asset data through automatic scans, which is a big time-saver. PDQ is more suited for mid-sized businesses if you need broader feature sets. Just keep in mind that while they offer great functionality, they do require some level of initial setup.

Honestly, no solution will be completely "plug and play"—you'll always need to deal with some setup. If SnipeIT isn't working for you, I'd worry you might have a tough time with other options too. But if you're looking for something more beginner-friendly, consider checking out Bluetally. It doesn’t require much technical setup and can be up and running in about an hour. Just plug in your identity provider and import a CSV. It’s designed to be easier for users without deep tech skills!
