I'm currently using Cisco AnyConnect VPN on my Mac work laptop, but it's really slowing down my internet speed. I want to maintain the VPN for work-related applications, but ideally, I'd like to ensure that my Brave browser's traffic isn't routed through the VPN. I looked into split tunneling, but couldn't find the necessary settings to make this happen. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to bypass any security for work-related apps; I just want my personal browsing to be faster while keeping the VPN active for work. Is there a clean workaround for this on macOS, such as using a VM or routing configuration? Or is it something that's entirely controlled by the company's VPN settings? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, your company likely uses a full tunnel VPN for a reason. It's best to use your work laptop strictly for work and consider using a personal device for browsing. If you really want split tunneling, you might need to check with your IT department about the possibility of adjusting the VPN settings. Just be careful not to get yourself in trouble with any security policies!
The easiest workaround here is simply to avoid doing personal stuff on your work device. If your company has set up a full tunnel VPN, there likely aren’t any ways for you to exclude single apps from it, unfortunately. Your best bet is to keep your personal browsing to your own laptop!
Yeah, definitely ask IT if they can set up split tunneling if it’s needed. But make sure you’re not using work time for personal browsing to avoid any issues!
