Hey folks! I was installing my new Ryzen 7 7800X3D on my MSI X670E Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard, and unfortunately, I accidentally bent around 7 pins on the AM5 socket while being cautious. I haven't attempted to fix them yet because I'm unsure about what's safe to use (I do have a magnifying glass). Also, I observed that the AM5 socket has its pins arranged into two columns, with one side tilted one way and the other side tilted the opposite direction, which seems normal? I just want to ensure that when I bend them back, I do it in the correct orientation. Can these pins be fixed, or am I completely out of luck?

Yes, it's possible to fix bent pins, but finding someone skilled enough to do it can be tricky. If you're feeling brave, you can try it yourself with a pair of tweezers and a steady hand, just be very gentle. Make sure to check the orientation of each pin before you start bending them back.

Can’t I just do this myself instead?
