Hey everyone! I'm curious about gaming on Ubuntu. I attempted to install Steam using 'apt install,' but it didn't work out for me. Am I missing something here?

Try installing Steam using this command: `sudo apt install steam-installer`. It should get you set up pretty easily!
You can also download the steam.deb file, open up your terminal, change into the Downloads directory, and enter `sudo apt install ./steam.deb` to get it installed.
If you want an alternative, you can use the .deb from the Steam site or the Flatpak version from Flathub, but make sure you have Flatpak installed. There's also a Snap version in the Software Center, but some people have had issues with it.
It should work without too many problems. How exactly did you try to install it?
You can just download the .deb file directly from the Steam website and run it to install Steam without issues.
Gaming on Ubuntu is definitely possible! I installed Steam using Flatpak, but had to adjust a few settings to get things running smoothly. I tried playing Elden Ring and had some crashes, which led me to switch to Pop!OS for better performance, but it’s doable!
