I'm looking to build a PC on a budget of around $1,000, and I'm planning to use an Intel Core i5-14600K. Since I'm a bit short on funds right now, I'm wondering if I can skip getting a dedicated graphics card for the time being. My main goal is to play games on my TV. Are the integrated graphics on this CPU sufficient for that?

It really depends on the games you want to play. Integrated graphics can handle older titles quite well—like the original Mirror's Edge—but for newer games, you may need to lower the settings or resolution. Just keep in mind that some games, especially the latest ones, might not run smoothly or at all without a dedicated GPU.
Honestly, if you want a decent TV gaming experience on a budget, I'd recommend looking into getting a used console. You can always sell it later when you're ready to invest in a gaming PC. It might save you some frustration with PC gaming for now!
You might be able to play some very basic games, but don't expect fantastic performance. Integrated graphics aren't really designed for gaming, especially if you're looking for quality visuals or higher frame rates.
You could definitely put together a nice PC within $1,000. While you can go without a GPU for a bit, don't forget that it's totally possible to get a decent setup if you can re-use some components like an SSD or PSU.

That makes sense! I have a PS4, but I've been more into PC gaming lately. After looking at PS5 prices, building a PC again seems like the better option. Thanks for the suggestion!
