Hey everyone! I've been using Windows 10 version 22H2 for a while now and I really like it, but I couldn't activate it due to some financial issues. With support ending in October 2025, I'm a bit worried about my security moving forward. I heard about the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, but I'm not sure if that's an option for systems that aren't activated. Any tips on how to keep my system secure and updated after 2025 would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

If you can get a legitimate copy of Windows 8.1, you could upgrade it to 10, and then possibly to 11, if your hardware supports it. This way, you’d have a proper activation and access to updates.
I don’t think Microsoft is going to assist users who haven’t activated their OS. It seems unreasonable to expect help when you’re not following their licensing guidelines.
The ESU program is a paid service aimed more at businesses that need extra time for compatibility reasons. It’s not set up for home users who haven’t activated their systems. I’d suggest considering upgrading to a legitimate copy of Windows or even switching to Linux as a more secure option.
