Hey everyone, I've been running Windows 10 version 22H2 for quite a while and I really enjoy using it. Unfortunately, I couldn't activate it due to some financial constraints. Now that support is ending in October 2025, I'm getting concerned about future security risks. I came across the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, but I'm not sure if it's an option for non-activated systems. I'd appreciate any advice on how to keep my system safe and up-to-date after 2025. Thanks in advance!

If you can grab a legitimate copy of Windows 8.1, you should be able to upgrade to Windows 10 and potentially to Windows 11, provided your hardware supports it. It might be a good route to go if you can find that copy.
The ESU program is a paid service mainly for organizations that need extended support for specific setups, usually for compatibility reasons. It’s not really meant for individual users just looking to stay on an unactivated version of Windows. My best advice would be to consider upgrading your Windows version or even switching to Linux if that suits your needs better.
Honestly, it’s unlikely that Microsoft would offer any help to unactivated systems. It’s kind of like asking a store for support after you’ve stolen something from them. They have policies against that, so it’s best to consider getting a legitimate version.
