Can I Install Linux Mint Without My ‘W’ and ‘2’ Keys?

Hey folks! With Windows 10 support wrapping up, I'm planning to switch to Linux Mint for both studying and light gaming. However, I've encountered an issue where my 'W' and '2' keys aren't functioning. Are these keys crucial during the installation process? Also, does Linux Mint come with a virtual keyboard pre-installed? Any beginner tips would also be greatly appreciated!

Absolutely, there's a virtual keyboard included right out of the box with Linux Mint! You should be all set with that option.

For more tips, check out the migration page in the Linux community wiki! Just remember to only use root access when necessary and avoid third-party repositories. It's also a good idea to verify the checksums of any ISOs you download!

You should be fine to install Linux Mint as long as you don't need those keys to enter your username, password, or Wi-Fi password during the setup. I'm not sure if it includes a virtual keyboard by default, but you might want to check out options like 'maliit-keyboard' as a workaround.

If you're in a pinch, you can rebind your keys! Like using 'Alt' + '9' for 'W' as a temporary solution. It might take a little getting used to, but it could help you navigate through the installation.
