I'm wondering if it's possible to manually delete files from the directory /var/lib/flatpak/repo/objects without using the 'sudo flatpak repair' command. I tried that command, but it didn't really help clear anything out. After doing a clean install, I noticed the folder jumped to 14 GB, even though the only Flatpaks I installed were VLC, Telegram, and Steam. I've removed those, so I'm concerned about leftover or junk files taking up space. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Why do you need to delete anything from the system Flatpak repository? If you're looking to clean up space, you might want to check where those 14 GB are coming from. Often, there can be leftover runtimes or cached files that don't get removed.
If you're trying to manage those files, it's important to note that manually deleting items from system directories could lead to issues. Think about checking alternate file managers or commands that let you safely access those files with the right permissions.
You can definitely look in the /home/user/.var/app directory for user-specific files, but remember that deleting items from the system var folder isn't always safe. I usually use 'sudo caja' to explore and manage protected files; just take care to know what you're deleting!
