Can I Mix Different RAM Brands and Latencies Without Issues?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to build a PC using an AM4 ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus motherboard, a Ryzen 7 5700X processor, and an RX 9060XT graphics card. I want to use my existing 32GB of DDR4 RAM, which consists of four 8GB sticks that all run at 3200 MHz, although they have slightly different CAS latencies (22-23-24-16 and 18-19-20-16). Since I'm not really into overclocking and just want my system to work well for casual gaming, I'm wondering if mixing these RAM sticks is going to cause any problems. Is it common for this setup to work, or should I be worried about compatibility issues? I really don't want to spend an extra €250 on new RAM if I can avoid it. Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

It's generally not recommended to mix RAM of different brands and latencies, but in many cases, it can work fine. Just keep the lowest timing in mind, as your system will operate at that speed. I have a setup with two sticks at 3600 MHz CAS 18 and two at 3200 MHz CAS 16, and it runs without issues, but I did have to fine-tune the settings. If you use the slowest timing profile, you should be okay 99% of the time!

Do I need to use XMP? Can it be turned off? If I want to tune them, how would that work?
