I'm working with 6K and 4K footage and I'm considering adding a 32GB RAM stick in slot 1 while having two 16GB sticks installed in slots 2 and 4. I'm using Corsair Vengeance RAM at 6000MHz, specifically a Corsair Vengeance CL40 32GB and two 16GB CL36 sticks. Will this configuration hinder my performance, or is it safe to mix them up?

While it won't damage anything, it's not the most optimal setup. Having a 32GB stick in slot 1 with 2x16GB in slots 2 and 4 typically leads to the system using the faster matched pairs first, which means the rest could run in single channel mode. This might result in some performance dips when you're dealing with heavy effects in 6K footage. You probably won't notice much during rendering, though.
It could potentially work, but there's a chance that the overall speed will drop below 6000MHz. You might want to test it out and see how your system handles it.
It might end up running at around 4800MHz, which isn't ideal for your editing needs.
Can I change some settings in the BIOS to adjust that?

I've noticed similar dips when using a 32GB stick. Considering RAM prices, this might be the most cost-effective solution for now.
