I'm trying to figure out if the Corsair 5000D Airflow case can accommodate an Arctic Freeze III 280 radiator mounted on the top. Do I need to side mount it instead? Also, is it possible to side mount a radiator that's not a 360? This setup is a bit confusing for me! I'm pairing it with an MSI X670E Gaming motherboard and a Ryzen 7 7700 non-X processor, along with a Radeon RX 7800 XT Nitro+. By the way, I'm not interested in Lian Li O11 suggestions, even though I like that case, I just feel nervous about the glass and it's going to be on the ground a lot anyway. Should I maybe consider a thinner AIO cooler instead, or is top mounting still an option?

You can definitely mount a 280 rad on the top of the Corsair 5000D; it's designed for that. Check out some build examples for proof!
That sounds reassuring! But I've heard that some people use an extra metal piece on the back to secure the rad. Is that necessary, or can I just mount it straight in?
