I'm trying to figure out if I can achieve decent performance for competitive gaming with my current setup: an RTX 5050 paired with an R3 4100. My goal is to hit 144fps at 1080p or 1440p for competitive games using DLSS, and I'd like to run AAA titles at 30-60fps on 1080p with ultra settings or 1440p with DLSS or frame generation. Unfortunately, I can't upgrade my CPU right now. Is this even feasible?

Honestly, I think you're going to struggle a bit, especially at 1440p. You might scrape together 100fps in a few less demanding games at 1080p, but overall, this setup isn't going to give you the performance you're aiming for.
And what about just playing competitively? Getting 144fps in performance settings should be possible, right?
The short answer is no, especially for 1440p. You’ll have a hard time pushing those frames even at the lower resolution.
But isn't there a chance to reach that with some optimization? I’ve seen folks reach decent rates with similar setups.
Yeah, if you optimize, 1080p could be achievable, but it's risky!

So, if I stick to 1080p and enable DLSS and frame generation, I should be able to maintain at least 60fps at max settings most of the time, right?
