Hey everyone, I have a bit of a dilemma with my new gaming laptop! I was excited to install a second SSD but noticed that there's a cable (the Input/Output Board Interconnect Cable, I believe) in the way. It's not too tightly packed, but if I install the SSD, it will press down on this cable a bit. I found a discussion online suggesting that the cable might be incorrectly positioned. I just want to make sure that placing the SSD there won't cause any problems, like damaging the cable or causing overheating. Is it safe to install it where it will slightly squish the cable?

It's not ideal to squish a cable, even if it's insulated. If you can adjust it safely, it’s worth considering to avoid future issues with your laptop.
It looks like the SSD might be bending when you secure it down, which isn't great for its longevity. Can you remove that cable and place it over the SSD or something? Alternatively, you could use a small spacer under the SSD to level it out a bit.
