Can I really find my first job in tech at 32 without experience?

Hey everyone! I'm a 32-year-old teacher who's interested in breaking into the programming world. I've dabbled in creating a few small GUI programs and have some knowledge of databases. I recently tried taking an online machine learning course, but after hearing that finding my first job in tech might be tough due to my age and lack of experience, I lost motivation to continue. I'm curious to know how hard it really is to land that first job—especially remote roles. If you were in my position, what steps would you take? Is it realistic for me to aim for mobile app development and possibly earn passive income down the road after gaining some skills? Thanks for your help!
