I have an old hard drive from about a year ago that I'd love to retrieve data from, but it's got some broken or bent pins that prevent me from using it. Is there anything that can be done to salvage the data, or is the drive beyond hope? The rest of the hard drive seems to be working fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You might be able to repair the pins yourself! You can try straightening them using a small tool or even soldering them back to their original position. Just proceed with caution to avoid breaking them further.
If you only need a temporary fix to recover your data, straightening the pins could work as long as nothing is severely damaged. Just make sure to do it carefully, so you don’t snap them off completely.
