Can I Reuse SATA Connectors for Case Fans When Switching PSUs?

I'm curious about reusing cables when switching power supplies. My old power supply was completely non-modular and connected all the case fans using a SATA cable. I'm about to install a new modular power supply and will be using its SATA cables. My question is whether I need to replace the SATA connectors on the fans themselves or if I can keep using the ones from the old PSU. Is it safe to reuse them, or should I change everything? I'm still a newbie at this stuff, and I really don't want to risk any accidents like fires.

What do you mean by the "SATA connector on the fans"? Is it one of those adapters that turns SATA into the typical 3-pin or 4-pin fan connector?

Yeah, that’s right.

You can definitely reuse the SATA connector on your fans. It’ll work just fine with your new PSU, just remember to plug in the new SATA power cables from the new unit for your drives.

Ok thanks! I thought that was the case, just wanted to check. Appreciate it!

Just a heads up, the SATA power cables are not reusable. Make sure to use the ones that come with your new PSU for those things. The connector on the fans is fine though; you're good there!
