Can I safely use just one end of a split PCIE cable?

I've been struggling with RGB setups, so I grabbed a NZXT control hub to simplify things. The hub needs a PCIE cable, but I only have a dual/split end cable left. Is it okay to just use one end of this cable?

Absolutely, that's how you're supposed to use it. Just check the manual for your PSU; it should confirm this setup.

Yeah, using just one end is usually safer. You won't risk sending too much power through it like that. Most guidelines suggest this method too.
