Can I safely use my PSU’s 6+2 pin cables with a 12VHPWR adapter for my new 4070 Super?

I'm looking to upgrade to an NVIDIA 4070 Super, and I'm uncertain about using the power cables from my PSU. My PSU specs list cables as (2) 8-Pin (6+2). Is it safe to plug these into a 2 x 8-pin-to-12VHPWR adapter for the new graphics cards? I've heard mixed opinions, but I want to make sure I'm using the right setup without running into issues since I haven't seen much discussion specifically about using 6+2s with 12VHPWR adapters.

You're all good! The 6+2 and 8 pins are essentially the same thing. The extra +2 just provides flexibility, so make sure you plug it in correctly! I've noticed some people having GPU issues because they didn't push it in all the way. Remember, those little clips should go inward to make sure it slides in smoothly as a whole unit.

Totally! I just wanted to double-check because old posts weren't enough to ease my worries. Thanks for clarifying! It helps a lot.
