I accidentally damaged my iPhone 12 Pro, and it won't turn on at all. I have a new iPhone 14 Pro arriving tomorrow, and I'm wondering if there's any way to transfer all my stuff, like settings, backgrounds, passwords, and notes, from the old phone if it's dead. I really shouldn't have ignored the warning about my charging port being wet after waiting an hour for it to dry.

Yeah, if the phone is wet, you might still have a chance of getting it to work. You can try leaving it in a sunny spot or putting it in rice for a few days—it might help revive it! Once it’s on, you can back it up to a computer and transfer everything that way too.
If you had an iCloud backup, restoring most of your stuff should be straightforward. Just choose the restore option when you set up your new phone. Just keep in mind, iCloud storage can be limited, so you might have run into storage issues if you didn’t pay for extra space.
Have you made any backups on iCloud or through a computer? If you have, you can restore everything when setting up your new iPhone. If not, you might need to consider getting the old phone's charging port repaired for data recovery.
I think I might have some backup somewhere! I didn’t really keep track of it, but I’ll look into it. Thanks for the advice!
