Hey everyone! I built my PC with my dad back in 2021 during the chip shortage, so my GPU options were pretty limited. Now, I feel like my CPU and GPU are getting outdated and I'd love to upgrade them. My current setup has a 600w PSU, and I'm aware that my motherboard restricts some CPU upgrades. I'm not looking to buy an entire new rig, and I've seen some tempting Costco bundles with high-end GPUs. With my existing specs, am I able to upgrade to a newer GPU and CPU without hitting power or compatibility issues? By the way, I'm fine playing on a 1080p 144hz monitor, so I'm not seeking 1440 performance. Here's a link to my build for reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YxptqH. Thanks for any advice!

Since you’re using an AM4 platform, the 5700X3D or 5800X3D are great choices, though double-check if your motherboard can handle it. The good news is with a 1080p monitor, you have a lot of great options available for GPUs. A 4070 Super or even a 5070 would definitely meet your needs at 1080p for a long time!
If you're considering the 5700X3D, it should work well, and a 3080 or 3070Ti should fit without issues too. Just keep your PSU's limits in mind!
Yes, you can definitely upgrade both your CPU and GPU! If you're looking for a CPU, consider the 5700X3D which runs about $250, or if you want a more budget-friendly choice, the regular 5700 for around $135 is a great option. For your GPU, a 4070 would be ideal, but if you're concerned about VRAM, a 4060Ti with 16GB could work too!
Hey, thanks for the suggestions! I forgot to mention that I don't have a strict budget, just want the best performance without a full rig upgrade!
I've checked your specs, and you can definitely upgrade your CPU. Your AM4 motherboard supports more powerful options, so you shouldn't have compatibility issues there. For the GPU, your PSU has quite a bit of headroom, but if you aim for a higher-end GPU, it's wise to use a PSU calculator to make sure you're within limits. You might even need to upgrade your power supply if you go really high-end.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it!
