I'm looking to upgrade my PC's RAM, which was built for me in 2021. Everything has been running smoothly, but with my recent use of Blender and 3D printing, I'm running out of memory. My current setup has 16GB of DDR4 (8GBx2) at 3200MHz, but I also have some VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 Corsair 16GB x2 6400 MHz that I bought on sale. My motherboard is an ASUS PRIME Z490-V. Can I swap my current RAM for the new DDR5 sticks, or will there be compatibility issues? Additionally, I've watched how to replace RAM and it seems simple, but are there any specific tips I should keep in mind for the installation?

Definitely not compatible with your current setup. If you're looking to upgrade your RAM, I'd suggest selling the DDR5 and using the cash to grab some more DDR4. Check the manufacturer’s site for a list of compatible RAM for your motherboard.
Though I've had some luck mixing RAM brands, it can get tricky. I'd recommend sticking to one type to avoid random issues. If you're serious about upgrading, don’t skip doing a bit of research on quality brands that are compatible!
Your motherboard and CPU won't work with that DDR5 RAM. But hey, it's a good time to sell it since RAM prices have skyrocketed! If you're considering sticking with your current setup, look for a decent 32GB DDR4 kit that fits your motherboard specifications.
You can't use DDR5 RAM in a DDR4 system, so those new sticks won't fit your motherboard. On the bright side, the DDR5 you have is probably worth a lot more now than when you bought it! You might want to sell it and buy some good quality DDR4 instead.
