Can I Use a 19V Adapter for My HP Pavilion Laptop?

I'm trying to find a replacement power adapter for my 2023 HP Pavilion 15t-eg300. The original adapter has specs of 19.5V output, and I've found a universal charger at Best Buy that says it outputs 19V. I'm unsure if this smaller voltage difference is acceptable. I've included the details of the original adapter for reference:

- HP Part No. L25296-002
- Input: 100-240V - 1.4A, 50-60Hz
- Output: 19.5V = 2.31A 45.0W

Here's the universal charger I'm considering: https://www.bestbuy.com/product/insignia-universal-65w-laptop-charger-black/J2FPJKST2C

Any advice on whether this charger is suitable? Thanks for the help!

If you're really pinching pennies, you might want to consider an official HP adapter instead for guaranteed compatibility. But if the universal one has the right tip, it should be okay.

I get that! There's a big price difference between $60 and $109, especially when you're on a budget.

It looks like the 19V adapter could work well enough, but I’d suggest testing charging via USB-C if you can. Just keep an eye on how quickly it charges, too!

I noticed all the input ports are on one side and outputs on the other, and the USB-C is on the output side. Does that mean it can charge through USB-C? I'm not entirely sure.
