Can I Use a Lower Amp Charger for My Laptop?

I need some advice about my laptop charger. My original charger is rated at 20V and 3.35A, but I'm considering using a new one that's only 20V and 2.25A. I just got this laptop fixed and I really don't want to risk damaging it again. I've read some conflicting info about whether using a lower amp charger is okay, especially since my laptop needs 3.35A. Can anyone clarify if this 2.25A charger would be safe to use?

If your charger is USB, you should be fine, since USB chargers negotiate power output. But if it’s a non-USB charger, you might run into issues. I had to buy a replacement for my sister's Surface Pro that had half the original power rating, and it didn’t perform well. The stronger charger typically lasts longer anyway!

Oh that's good, I'm relieved to know that it won't break at least, but I understand it might still be a problem if it dies. Thanks for the info!
