Hey everyone! I'm thinking about installing the MSI RTX 5070 Ti graphics card into my ASUS TUF B550M Plus motherboard, which only supports PCIe 4.0. Will this setup work without any issues? Just want to confirm if it's compatible and if there's gonna be any performance bottleneck since the card is PCIe 5.0 and my motherboard is PCIe 4.0.

Absolutely! PCIe cards are backwards compatible, so your RTX 5070 Ti will work perfectly with the 4.0 motherboard. You’ll get all the benefits of the card, just not the maximum bandwidth available with PCIe 5.0.
Honestly, I don't get why you didn't just look this up online. You'll find plenty of info confirming that PCIe connections are compatible across versions. Just to add, using the 5070 Ti on a 4.0 motherboard won't be a major issue, but there might be some minor bottlenecking since you're not utilizing the full speed of the card. If you're gaming or doing intensive tasks, you should still see great performance!
I did look it up, but found mixed answers. How significant do you think the bottleneck will be?
