Hey everyone! I'm trying to set up more monitors than my graphics card has ports for. I have a Ryzen 7 5700X and a 2060ti, but my CPU doesn't have an integrated GPU. I'm thinking about getting a USB to HDMI adapter. Would that be a workable solution for my setup?

Wow, you really need more than four monitors? That's quite a setup! Just a heads up, your GPU can only handle three outputs max, so you may run into issues there. A USB to HDMI adapter could be a temporary fix, but it might not give you great performance, especially for gaming or tasks that need a lot of video bandwidth. Just keep that in mind!

Right? It's pretty wild to need so many screens. Just remember, a USB adapter might not handle high resolutions or refresh rates, so it might be best for just basic tasks.

Have you thought about daisy chaining? If your monitors support DisplayPort, you can connect multiple displays through a single port, like four monitors at 1080p per output. But if that's not possible due to your monitor's inputs, then the USB adapter might be your best bet, although it might be limiting.

Unfortunately, daisy chaining won't work here since my monitor lacks a DP output. I can't find a DP hub available locally either, so I'm looking for alternatives.
