I need a longer SATA data cable to connect my HDD, but I'm concerned about using an off-brand one. I know that using off-brand power cables can be risky, but is it safe to use just any SATA cable? For context, I'm working with a Cooler Master MWE Gold 650W power supply. I've tried reaching out to Cooler Master support, but it's been a month with no response. What do you think?

You should be fine using an off-brand SATA cable. Unlike power cables, SATA cables deal with low current and voltage, so as long as the cable works, you shouldn't have any issues. There really isn't a need for high-end brands for this purpose. Just make sure it fits well!
Yeah, using a lower-quality SATA cable isn't a huge deal. You might see slightly slower transfer speeds, but with HDDs, the difference is usually negligible since they're already slower than SSDs. Don't stress over it!

But just to clarify, there may be variations in quality. A bad SATA cable could cause transfer errors, so it's good to check if your HDD reports any issues with the new cable.
