I'm planning to build my first gaming PC but I've noticed that many gaming cases are quite expensive due to features like RGB lighting and glass panels. I'm wondering if it's okay to use an office case instead since they tend to be more affordable. What do you think?

I wouldn’t recommend using an office PC case. They usually have poor ventilation, and gaming cases are definitely more user-friendly for building. You can find decent cases at pretty good prices, especially if you're open to smaller form factors.
It really depends on the specifications you're going for. Some office cases might have limited airflow and size, which could be a problem for more powerful gaming components. But if the case has good ventilation, it could work fine!
In the end, a case is just a box to hold your parts. I've seen people build gaming PCs in cardboard boxes! But if you can get a good case for cheap, it’s definitely worth it for better airflow and easier assembly.
Yes, you can use an office case for gaming, but make sure it has enough fans and decent airflow. There are plenty of budget options that also come with side glass panels and RGB lighting if you're interested.
Most office cases have terrible airflow since they’re designed for low-power parts. You might want to check out some budget PC cases or even look for solid used cases for around $30 to $40.

You might consider modifying the case a little if needed.
