I recently upgraded to an AMD 7900XT, which requires three 8-pin PCI-E connectors. My power supply unit (PSU) only has two PCI-E cables, and one of those is a daisy chain. I'm hesitant to use the daisy chain since it doesn't seem ideal. A friend of mine gave me an extra cable from his PSU, which is a GIGABYTE UD750GM. My PSU is a RAIJINTEK CRATOS 850W. I'm wondering if these cables are compatible or if using them could damage my GPU. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You really don’t want to take that chance. The pinout differences could lead to catastrophic failures. Just save yourself the hassle and get a proper cable for your power supply.
It's really not a good idea to mix PSU cables from different brands. The pinouts can differ significantly, and using the wrong cable might fry your GPU or other components. Stick to cables designed for your PSU to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Definitely do not use that other brand's cable! Even if the connectors fit, the wiring might not match up correctly. If you're unsure, it's best to just buy a new cable from Raijintek. Your GPU is too expensive to risk damaging!
Good call on skipping the mixed cables! As for the daisy chain, it’s generally fine as long as your PSU can handle the load. Just keep an eye on your temps and power usage!
Stop right there! Even cables from the same manufacturer can be incompatible due to changes in design. Mixing them can lead to hardware failures, including your GPU. It’s safer to buy the right cables.
