Can I use KDE tools in Cinnamon without switching desktops?

I recently gave KDE Plasma a shot and was really impressed with some of its built-in tools, like KDE Connect, clipboard history, and an emoji picker. I'm mainly using Linux Mint with Cinnamon, but I'm particularly interested in getting that clipboard history widget in Cinnamon. Is there a way to port or use these KDE tools seamlessly in my Cinnamon environment? Just to clarify, I prefer not to switch to KDE Plasma since I find it less stable and slower for daily tasks compared to Cinnamon.

For clipboard history and emoji support, I'd recommend checking out some alternatives. For instance, CopyQ is a fantastic clipboard manager that works on most desktop environments, including Cinnamon. As for emojis, you might want to look into an app called Emote. They should give you the functionality you’re aiming for without the need to switch your whole desktop.

I bet there's a clipboard history widget available for Cinnamon, similar to what you found in KDE. You just need to search through the extensions available for Cinnamon. If you’re using a different environment like Xfce, they often have similar options that don’t require installing the full KDE desktop.

You know, you can actually install KDE apps directly in other desktop environments like Cinnamon. There’s no need to port them! KDE Connect works great on various setups too. Just check your software manager for the app you need. If you’re worried about system performance, keep in mind that many users find KDE to be quite stable these days—especially if you don’t update too often.
