I'm a startup founder who signed up for the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub program and received Azure credits. Recently, I learned that Anthropic's Claude models are available on Azure AI Foundry. I want to clarify: can I use my Microsoft Founders Hub Azure credits to cover the costs of using these Claude models?

Yes, you can use the Claude models via Copilot. I linked my GitHub billing to my Azure subscription, and my Azure credits covered the costs without any issues.

Just give it a shot! In Azure, a credit is still a credit, as far as I know. No extra conditions should apply to using them.

That’s not entirely accurate. There can definitely be limits on sponsored subscriptions, especially regarding region usage and types of resources you can access.

I haven't seen any charges for using Codex yet, and Claude hasn't shown up on my billing. I've been running Claude Code on Azure for a couple of days, and so far, it's showing $0.
