I'm upgrading my gaming rig and I'm wondering if I can simply transfer my old M.2 SSD to my new PC. Currently, I'm using an RTX 2070 and Ryzen 7 1700x with an XPG SX8200 Pro Series 1TB PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 SSD. My new build will have an RTX 5070 and a Ryzen 7 7800x3d, with a GIGABYTE B650 Eagle AX AM5 motherboard. Will the SSD work without issues when I switch everything over?

For sure! If you're moving from an AMD and Nvidia setup to another AMD and Nvidia combo, you should be fine using your existing Windows install. Just make sure to update all your drivers once you switch things around.

So, does the generation of the M.2 SSD actually affect anything?
