I'm planning to upgrade my PC and buy a new 2 TB SSD to use as the primary drive for my operating system. I have an old 1 TB SSD that's almost full. Once I install the OS on the new SSD, can I simply connect the old SSD as a secondary drive? Do I need to take any special steps before or after installing it?

You will need to connect the old SSD, and there’s a chance you might need to partition it if Windows doesn't do it automatically. Just ensure that your system boots from the new SSD and not the old one.
Absolutely, you can just plug in your old 1 TB SSD into the second slot. No special steps are needed since your new SSD will be the first boot option in the BIOS. After installation, you can do what you want with the old one – I suggest formatting it to use it as a backup drive.
Yes, you can definitely install the old SSD without any special setup. Formatting it is a smart idea if you want to use it for storage, especially if it still has Windows on it from before.
