Can I use my old Zenphone charger for my new iPhone 17?

I just upgraded from a Zenphone 10 to an iPhone 17, but I noticed that the new phone didn't come with a charging adapter. I still have the charger that came with my Zenphone, which is a 30W 'hypercharge' adapter by Asus. Is it safe to use this charger with my new iPhone? I want to make sure I don't damage the battery or anything by using the wrong charger, even if it means not getting the fastest charge possible.

Your old charger is likely safe, but the charging speed might be slower than optimal. With USB-C devices, they communicate to adjust the voltage and wattage, so if there's any mismatch, it may just charge slowly or not at all. Don't worry too much, though!

Yeah, you can totally use your old Zenphone charger! It should work fine without causing any harm to your iPhone 17. Just keep in mind that it might not charge as quickly as the maximum speed it’s capable of.

As long as your adapter is good, it should output up to 6 amps at 5V, meaning you can still get a decent charge. While it won’t be the fastest, it should still keep your iPhone charged reasonably well!

Using your Zenphone's charger should work well enough, but it might not give you the fastest charging speed. It should still manage basic charging at around 15W at least, so you should be alright.
