Hey everyone! I've got a 3050 graphics card and a 165Hz monitor. I know I won't be able to push 165Hz, but I'm curious if I can get it up to 144Hz. If not, what's the best refresh rate I can achieve?

What games are you looking to play? AAA games might give you trouble, whereas esports titles like Valorant or Fortnite can typically run at 120+ fps easily.

Make sure you're using the right connection! The 3050 works well with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4a, both of which can handle up to 240Hz at 1080p. If you're not seeing the 165Hz option, it might be your cable. Use the one that came with the monitor or get a new one to support those higher refresh rates.

You can definitely change the refresh rate to 144Hz in the Windows settings. If you're not sure how, you can also check the Nvidia control panel for those options.

It really depends on the game you're playing. For less demanding games, you might see 144fps, but for more intensive titles, you might struggle to get there even at 1080p. If you just want to display at 144Hz, your 3050 can support it if you use the right cable.

In lower-quality settings, you might pull off 144fps in some games, but be ready to adjust settings for most modern titles. Just remember, graphics settings greatly influence performance!
